I know a bunch of us are collecting and breeding dragons so i thought a thread on it might be in order.

My first Guardian just matured and i think it's lovely, though not as pretty as my sky so I''m leaving it in my sig for now.

Y'all know that if you get a sick hatchling or soft shell you need to hide your dragons, right? I saw an RIP in a sig on here today.

My first batch matured the other day. I'm rather curious about the "description" you can add, but not sure what I would put there.

The only time I've ever had a soft shell was about 2 minutes after adding one to my sig, and it fixed itself on its own pretty quickly, but yeah, that's good advice.

I was wondering what those eggs were. And that was Rilian's Dragon.

It's sort of like a neopets thing. you grab the eggs from the site. They need different people to vie them for them to mature and they need a certain amount of click throughs. Adult dragons need views once every eight weeks, so i occationally cycle them through my sig to prevent accident.

The most interesting things I have so far are a rock dragon, magi, and some mysterious purple egg. I like adopting them rather than just going for the parentless cave ones, it seems cooler to me and I can look at other people's dragons in the process.

Adopting means access to vine and black dragon varients. I have the orange vine varient in my sig now. My weather is starting to mature.

Okay... how do you get dragons? It says there aren't any eggs.

And apparently these were abandoned I wanted to take more abandoned ones, but they said I ahve too many. -_-

You can only have four if you are taking in new or abandoned eggs, but five if you are breeding an egg (if you already have four, it will let you breed one more, that is).

I decided three is a good number because otherwise I'd have a bajillion by new years.

ah, okay. What does clicks mean? And is there some number where your dragon matures, or does it vary?

What do you mean, hide them?

Each click helps it hatch. There's no determined number of clicks it takes to hatch and then mature, usually several hundred/a thousand or so.

The click think is why I individually click all your eggs once every day if they are on the board.

If your egg has soft shell or your hatchling is sick, it generally means your egg/hatchling is getting too much exposure. Go to your scroll. Pick the "actions" option next to the sick egg and choose "hide." Leave the egg/hatchling hidden overnight, then unhide to see if they are fine again.

Oh, yea - I heard (but idk if it's true) that if the overall views ratio to the unique views is more than 10:1 the egg/hatchling will die. Maybe if you get close to that the dragon gets sick or the shell gets soft.

Can mature adult dragons die?

Adult dragons can be deliberately killed (Don't do this. If you do it too often, you lose your scroll.). They also need a view every 8 weeks to stay on your scroll.

Is there some message at the bottom of the dragon description for adults in danger of being vanishified, like there is for eggs? Say, at 7 1/2 weeks without views you get some sort of "uh-oh"?

I don't think so. I just occationally cycle adults through my sig now and then for safety.

I guess every time I view my scroll (rarely, but definitely more often than once every 8 weeks or whenever), I'll click on all the adults.
