PlayStation Gamers?

PlayStation Gamers?

Postby Narrcissan » Fri Feb 11, 2011 1:26 pm

I was reading through the forum and saw posts for Xbox gaming so I thought I would start one for PlayStation.

Are there any gamers here that play on PlayStation 3 or PSP? I would like to make some gaming friends that are more "gender different" than the testosterone driven "pukes" (for lack of a better word) that you meet in public games.
Thanks,
Narrcissan

I'm extremely conceited and narcissistic. Hey, I didn't say I was a good person, just a happy one ;).

I'm also a PS3 / PSP gamer, but I'm at Uni for the next 3 years, and have not yet found any time for gaming :(
(though its ok, because I'm doing a Game development course ^ ^ )

I'm at Uni as well although with any luck I'll be finishing up this year. I had trouble finding time to game but have been so stressed with uni- and non-uni stuff that I've forced myself to do it as a relaxation mechanism :P My SO almost changed to games development last year!

I mostly play RPGs - and silly ridiculous japanesey games I'm ashamed to say. At the moment I'm working my way through Mass Effect 2 and 3D Dot Game Heroes. I think my PSP has Persona 3 Portable in it right now :P

- 'Silly japanesey games", I'd call these 'Guilty pleasures' ^ ^ (listening to the Katamari Damacy OST at the moment)

As for myself, Im not really sure, I like a bit of everything, but am kind of a cinic about most of the modern games.
my taste ranges from Wipeout, through Killzone, Halo, Mass Effect, Fallout, Portal, Metal Gear Solid, Oddworld, Minecraft, Osmos, Echochrome, Eufloria, Left 4 Dead, GTA, Fable, Myst, Little Big Planet, Locoroco, to Motorstorm. (among others)

So, yeah, maybe not very varied after all

I think 'guilty pleasures' just about hits that nail on the head. :) Katamari is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about, also, Catherine is pretty good. Not at all what I expected. I mostly end up playing that type of game on the PC though..

I'm a bit of a retro fan, really, I'll play anything that's old enough or with enough throwbacks to when I was younger. LBP is what got me into the PS3 in the first place (although I think that's true of lots of people). I'm not a big fan of shooter-y games although I have been known to enjoy the odd few on the PC, mostly older ones. It has been strongly suggested I play Locoroco but I haven't gotten around to it just yet... Looks good though!
