My name is Kim Tran, I'm the Youth Outreach Coordinator for the LGBT Youth Space in San Jose, California. We are a safe-space drop in center for LGBTQ youth ages 13-25 and offer free long term counseling (including letters of recommendation/referral) for ages 16-24. We have a number of support groups, one specifically for trans and gender variant youth, and serve a number of trans clients. I've gone over to the De Frank before to meet with the head of their counseling program and they were part of the LBG panel for one of my classes, it's a pretty cool place. Plus free counseling and recommendation letters! I'm planning on doing either training or interning with them after I'm done with my program(if they'll accept me.) So, if you live in the bay area and want counseling or a safe space, I'd recommend them.
