I was raised RC, and can respect what Kinkly said, but I am soon to be confirmed into the Anglican Church.

Peace.

Agnostic... I like the Gnostic scriptures a lot and they make a lot of sense to me, but I don't want to commit to anything.

I have some of the Gnostic texts on my PC. I have a minor obsession about Mary Magdalene. I'm not sure about all the davinci code stuff- a great story. But I do think there was something a bit special about her.

Peace.

Well actually I haven't really read them in full, I've just read about the beliefs mostly. The main thing I like is the belief that the Christian God is really a demigod and not the True God. I liked this website's description a lot: http://www.gnosis.org/gnintro.htm

I follow a Druidic path. I'm not claiming to be a Druid, since that requires years of study, and in some branches, official ordination, but I like the philosophy, and my whole family is a bunch of crazy Irishmen.

I like the concept that instead of supplication to the Gods, you should have your own path, based on a few basic principles, like valor, honesty, and hospitality. It's actually considered a grave sin to mistreat a guest in your home, unless he's violating the code of behavior guests are supposed to follow (in which case it's fair game to beat them senseless).

The myths are super-fun, too. Cu Chullain's name actually means "hound of Cullain." He killed Cullain's prized hunting hound in self-defense, and offered to act as a literal replacement until Cullain could find a new one.

I consider myself Pagan/Wiccan, but I'm very much a learner at it, and a bad one at that.lol I also follow bits and pieces of Buddhism, particularly the ideas of Karma and Rebirth.

I was raised as a Christian, but, following events in my life that eventually made me walk away from that faith [and, true to the spirit of Karma's cause and effect, eventually had a hand in my Multi-genderism] I decided to walk my own path.

Raised Jewish, currently faithless. Basically an atheist, but I don't really like that term.

I'll admit to having "prayed" once or twice, on the general principle that there might be some godlike being watching over us and following some stupid noninterference policy, it might be capable of reading our thoughts, and it might, just might, be finally moved to interfere in our lives by one person's pleas. But I also realize just how unlikely that is, and what I've seen so far strongly suggests that it is not the case.

I'm completely atheist. My mom tried raising me Catholic/Christian/Idontknowthedifference, but I was having none of it from a very young age. She just couldn't convince me, y'know? Even going to Sunday school out of boredom with some neighbors only made me go "...eh? You believe -that-?".

I'm fond of and respect Paganism though. I love the 'here's the basic rules, go do whatever the hell you want with the rest' feel of it. I think when it comes to religion (even though my opinion is really irrelevance) that it should be a personal thing with no business and money involved.

I was raised Christian but even as a kid I had belief "issues". When I was 14 I read Shogun and it got to me on so many levels, especially about Shinto. I now follow a Shinto-Buddhist mix, even down to the diet, and have done so for nearly 20 years. Karma explains so much to me about the people and animals around me, especially the animals, as well as the paths in life that have been chosen so far.

I'm anti-religious. No, I don't think telling my beliefs matters anymore.

Well, I have this one belief that I can't stop spouting off...the one where I think religion is a bad thing. I think people should just believe what THEY really believe, and not let other people tell them how to believe. I think we should be able to institute good ideas and morals without being asked - or sometimes silently expected - to swallow a whole bunch of other stuff that goes with. <_< Bah.

Yeah...knickers to religion. It's just given a lot of crazy people an excuse to hurt or kill other people, and doesn't really cost decent people anything when they move past it. Don't go to temple, you're just gonna get fleeced. Bah.
He or she suits me, depending on the situation. I'm weird like that. :P

I'm not just 'gender queer' (still not sure how much I like calling myself that), I also have a scattered mind. You'll love me, or think I'm psycho. ^^

Warning: I will reply.

I am a Christian. <3
I have been raised Prebyterian but since I've gone to college I've been attending an Anglican church. At the Anglican church I kind of like the ritual to it, but it's not as accepting as my church back home.
I love Jesus so much that I wanted to and still want to become a cosecrated virgin and/or nun.

My religious beliefs...or non-beliefs are best not aired.
I don't like the suggestion that I'm somehow less of a person, just because I don't want to do what everyone else does.

I don't follow a set religion.

I have spent a small amount of time as a Wiccan, and I have a small background in Shinto. Both of these have had an effect on my overall spirituality, however I would not say I am conclusively anything. My spiritual beliefs, although influenced by other spiritualities, are my own, and there is no single name that sums up my spiritual beliefs completely.

As such, I just call myself "Spiritual".

I am a dark polytheistic neo-pagan who works with - not worships - their gods and goddesses. I work with Sumerian, Mesopotamian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek, Northern Native American, Mayan, Aztec and Hindu gods. I call myself "dark" not in an evil sense, but merely because I tend to be drawn to gods that embody the darker side of the universe, the night, the stars, etc... Nature, however, is one thing I can say I worship in a sense. The moon is my queen. I also have green Witch tendencies. :) I am quite the little herbalist. I also am well versed in the use of crystals and majickal items. I believe in Aliens, and that many of our gods have been extraterrestrials.

I was raised as an Evangelical Presbyterian. They are complete whackos. O_O Even as a child I questioned the religion. When my mother began destroying my pagan jewelry at 12 years old and my father threw all of my books away into an Ann Arbor dumpster on trash day, I knew that there was truly something wrong. Eventually I was kicked out of their house for my beliefs.

Apep, Bast, Pasht, Kali, Cthulhu/Ktulu, Tiamat, Inanna, Athena, Hades, Set, Thoth, Isis, Dagon... these are all gods with whom I get along famously.

Ra and I have issues.

I also consider myself to be a modern primative in the earliest of stages. In short it is essentially finding yourself and your spritiuality through body modification, pain, suffering and torture. (Piercings, ink, Flesh pulls, suspention etc...) All of which are enjoyed once you can surpass the pain. The surpassing pain part I have down, but the body mods are just starting.

Hmm that's about it.
It's half biology and half corrective surgery gone wrong. You'll notice something funny if you hang around here for too - Long ago in some black hole before they had these pills to take it back... I'm half jill, And half jack.

Half Catholic, half Anglican I never considered religion, nor faith, important, until I began transition and began thinking for myself. I'm a sort of Anabaptist/non-conformist-Quaker, not quite Mennonite, definitely not Amish, not quite Quaker, but very, very into the Radical Reformation's ideals. So I suppose you could call me a Christian, although I prefer "part of the Jesus Movement."

I also have a strong admiration for Theravada Buddhism for some inexplicable reason...

@Leo, I had a similar experience with The Year of Living Dangerously as a kid. Buddhism is so much more naturally resonant with my personal experience. When I went shopping for a new religion in my late teens, I settled on the Tibetan form as closest to my core beliefs and praxis. I call myself Buddhist/Animist these days as my Animism is rather stronger than in mainstream Tibetan Buddhism.

@Umi: It depends on what part of the Anglican Union you are in. for the most part US (episopalian0, Canada, an Emgland are pretty far left, accepting GLBT and female priesthood and now Bishops. The African branch is very far right, with most of the union falling in a continuum between them. The Anglican Union is somewhere individual people and churches have a lot of say in the tolerance level. You can do a lot of good there pushing for change. There are Episcopalian/Anglican nuns, though you could also aim for Seminary.

I'm pastafarian.

Raised catholic, turned atheist but I received the sacraments to entertain my parents, and then I found the wonders of pastafarianism, and I'm rather happy with that.
