What Made You Happy Today?

What Made You Happy Today?

Postby LeoNine » Tue Apr 07, 2009 5:52 pm

Pinching this one from another forum! A chance to post about...well, just what it says in the header.

What made me happy was waking up this morning in a bed I'd assembled yesterday. Not only did I have the best sleep in months, but the bed hadn't fallen apart. Yay for self-build kits! Even if it took me nearly two and a half hours to do!

I'm happy about the new Fullmetal Alchemist. I finally got to see it today and it's quite nice.

is it a remake of the anime series? I haven't finished the original episodes yet...

The friends who I'm out to used masculine pronouns when referring to me. One even corrected another friend of mine (that was awkward, but it's a learning experience) Also, I was given a packer. Granted, it's not the best thing ever, but I hope it works out.

My tawdry little Buneary. 8-)
He or she suits me, depending on the situation. I'm weird like that. :P

I'm not just 'gender queer' (still not sure how much I like calling myself that), I also have a scattered mind. You'll love me, or think I'm psycho. ^^

Warning: I will reply.

What made me happy today was meeting up with some folks from another forum I'm on, and having a great time. None of us, seven in all, had met each other before in person, but we all got on well. I think!

When I found out that my mom is now friends with my crush's mom, and they are talking about going on college visits together, all four of us. That would be so cool (not the mom part, but hanging out with just him for a full day? duuuude)<3

What neck of the woods are you in these days? You'd be more than welcome at a meet of ours!

Orlando, it wasn't a meeting of nonbinary, but we're such a diverse bunch on this other forum that all would be catered for and made welcome, too! And we're in Britain, not as far as the US. :)

I *love* magnolia trees... They just look (and smell) so wonderful when they're in full bloom.

I'm happy today because I found a psychotherapy style that I'm into after two weeks of styles I don't like. Don't like Jung or REBT, but Carl Rogers Client Based Therapy seems pretty awesome.

It's still early, so who knows what blessings today might bring.

Yesterday though, As part of a college research module, I gave a 20 minute talk / seminar on gender dysphoria to 21 souls. It was well recieved and everyone thought it was interesting. I still have a wee happy glow from that. :)

Peace.

Hi LeoNine,

The course is 'Access to Health Science / Nursing'. It is an intensive one year course which qualifies / prepares me to study for a full nursing degree. I will be starting my degreen in Mental Health Nursing in September. :)

Peace.
